Erin MacAlpine
Director, JustBeeCos
If you’ve ever tried navigating the world of the NDIS, you’ll know it can feel a little overwhelming. That’s where Erin MacAlpine and her team at JustBeeCos step in.
Based right here at DPARTMNT, Erin is the Director (though she’s far too humble to say that without squirming a little) of this purpose-driven organisation offering independent support coordination to NDIS participants across the New England region. From Armidale to Quirindi, her team helps clients access the funded and community supports they’re entitled to, guiding them with care and connection.
Erin started JustBeeCos as a solo venture—but the business has grown quickly, and DPARTMNT has grown right alongside it. What began as a single desk has become a vibrant, flexible base of operations. Today, the JustBeeCos team uses a private two-person office and the hot desks to support team members visiting from across the region, giving them a shared space to reconnect and collaborate.
So why DPARTMNT?
“It’s everything we need—without all the stuff we don’t,” Erin explains. “We’ve had bigger offices before, but they always came with too much space and not enough soul. Here, everything is functional, professional, and designed with intention.”
For Erin, the little things make a big difference. “There’s always milk in the fridge,” she laughs. “In our old office, I’d head out for milk and come back two hours later. It’s so much more efficient here—and everything from the meeting rooms to the confidential setup suits the sensitive nature of our work.”
But more than anything, it’s the community that keeps Erin coming back.
“DPARTMNT is more than just a workspace. It gives our team—who often work solo in the field—a chance to feel part of something bigger. You have those informal kitchen chats again, get to know people, feel connected. Honestly, I love coming to work every day.”
For someone who values connection as much as Erin does, it’s no surprise that JustBeeCos thrives in a place like this. And if you’re lucky enough to bump into her in the kitchen, you’ll quickly discover she really does love a chat—especially when it’s about helping others feel more supported and less alone.
