That’s where Alex Newmarch comes in.

Alex helps secure & deliver major projects throughout the New England and North West(Has been within the region for the last decade with North & RCC). Over the past four years with North, he has been part of a local team working across education, healthcare, rail, commercial, retail, hospitality and industrial developments, helping bring significant regional projects to life.

Originally from Inverell within the New England Region, Alex spent several years working in Mid North Coast/Sydney before returning to the region more than a decade ago. Today, he lives in Tamworth with his wife Heidi and two daughters, Ellery and Bonnie, and enjoys being part of a business that is helping shape the future of regional communities. Currently within the region we are building Tamworth’s first University campus for UNE, completing the WeOL Palliative Care Hospital extension to the Acute Services Building & Constructing a new Rendering Plant for Bindaree Abattoir in Inverell.

We have also recently completed the Scone Grammar School(6 new classrooms Administrative Facilities & Library), McCarthy College(10 new Classrooms & New Library, & Philomena’s School(10 new classrooms & administrative facilities).

“It’s rewarding to work on projects that contribute directly to the community,” Alex says. “Whether it’s education, healthcare or local industry, you can see the impact these projects have for years to come.”

While much of North’s work happens on construction sites, DPARTMNT has become an important base for the company’s local operations.

“The support from Sam, John and the entire Treloar family has been brilliant,” Alex says. “They’ve been incredibly supportive over the years.”

For Alex, the value of DPARTMNT extends beyond simply having an office, it is a base & permanent connection to the community.

“The exposure to other businesses and people in the community is a big advantage. It provides strong connections throughout Tamworth with others who are genuinely passionate about helping businesses grow and contribute to the region.”
